major

        “ Buckland “

       “ Lawson’s Star “

       “ Hadspen Blood “

           “ Roma “

         “ Ruby Star “

A beautiful cross between A. major and A.maxima, with characteristics of both.

Subtle, pale-pink flowers with green bracts.

Quiet and understated. Moisture reteentive soil.

( formerly “ Warren Farm “)  Our own seedling from “ Shaggy.” Shares the long green bracts and deeply cut leaves with it’s parent but flowers are a lovely pale-pink.

Moist, fertile soil in sun or partial shade.

Clump-forming perennial for woodland, stream-side or moist border.

Dark red bracts and blooms. Flowers over a long period from early Summer.

12 - 36inches. Hardy. Sun or partial shade.

A handsome new variety in soft pink. Flowers from May and will re-bloom if dead-headed.

Sun to partial shade in good garden soil that is not too dry. Like all Astrantias the flower quality improves year on year. 24 - 30 inches.

A new red variety, said to exceed “ Ruby Wedding “ and “ Hadspen Blood .” The foliage and stems are darker than either. The flowers are lighted - a clear ruby-red with good starry shape. Approx 12inches. Flowers May to July with later flushes
