Another brilliant choice in the fascinating Asian “toad lillies.” Long-lasting, dark-flecked flowers from August into October. 2½ fet.

Prefers moist, hunus-rich soil and part shade, but will cope with drier conditions in deeper shade.


A lovely example of the so-called “toad lilly.”

A bushy plant, with clean, glossy dark green leaves and large purple spotted flowers. Prefers good, moist soil in light shade, but can cope with drier conditions. Flowers July to September.  Should build up to a substantial clump. 1½ to 2½ feet.
