A lovely soft pink flower with slightly purple
bracts in early July.
Grow in moderately moist soil in full sun  or  
will tolerate dappled shade in particularly
hot gardens.



Clump-forming perennial bearing rich scarlet
flowers with brownish calyces from
mid-Summer into Autumn.
36 inches x 18 inches.
Needs humus rich moistur retentive soil in full
sun  or partial shade.
Protect from excessive wet in Winter.


An essential element of the July border.
This is my favourite hybrid.
Flowers palest lilac with dark bracts and stems.
Requires a very well-drained soil but needs lots
of water to grow well.


A modern cultivar, bred for mildew resistence.
July - August
Grows to 3 feet.
Happiest in moist but well-draining soil.
Full sun or partial shade.
