Plant Lists

My absolute favourite perennial foxglove!

Thin spire of pink trumpets opening to a creamy yellow.  4 - 4½ feet.

Prefers a spot in light shade in good loamy soil that dosn’t dry out in Summer.

A sound perennial plant producing spires of small toffee-coloured flowers after mid-Summer.

Sun or light shade. Most garden soils. 3 - 3½ feet.

A selected form of this excellent hybrid with larger crushed-strawberry flowers on crowded stems. Digitalis x mertonensis is usually fertile, but we found out if this is true of this varient.

Any soil, sun to partial shade.

An introduction by Hampshire’s Fromefield Nursery. A very perennial foxglove with a miriad of tiny white-throated pink trumpets on wiry stems. Dead-head for continuous flowering.

Light shade, woodland conditions. 2½ - 3feet.

Details and pictures in New Year.
